Dublin Dr Pepper takes you "in the Pursuit of Perfection..."

Dublin Dr Pepper aficionados from around the globe are marking their calendars for the 119th birthday celebration at the oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant in the world, located in the heart of Dublin, Texas. This year’s celebration turns back the clock to the nostalgic days of an “Endless Summer”...in pursuit of the perfect sunset, beach, road trip, hamburger, or soft drink...it will all be a part of our 119th birthday!

The week-long event begins on Monday, June 7 when the Dublin city limit signs will be changed to DR PEPPER, TEXAS, signaling one of the area’s most sought-after photo opportunity. The major events continue on Friday night, June 11, when Alleyfest, located in Hogan’s Alley across the street from the bottling plant, opens with exclusive arts and crafts vendors. Live music by the 10-2-4 Band will take visitors right up to the perfect ending of the evening with a movie under the stars.

The fun continues early Saturday morning with the annual 10-2-4K charity run, hosted by the Dublin Lions Club. The variety of race formats offer something for the casual walkers to the serious runners of all ages. There’s also the option of joining the second annual Tour de Pepper, which kicks off Saturday morning. This ride offers a 9, 34 and 62 mile route--assuring a perfect distance for any bicycle rider.

Following the post-race award ceremonies, let the fun begin: car show, bingo, free Dr Pepper from a giant can, great music off the American Bandstand, a BIG cake, a Frosty shake, and numerous other exciting activities that will bring the 60’s back when a summer vacation was a family vacation. All visitors will be treated like the big Kahuna with free Dublin Dr Pepper as well as free tours of the bottling plant and museum all day. There will be plenty of carnival games and inflatables for all age groups that will be operated by local and area charitable organizations and all proceeds will go to right back into our community and surrounding area.

The annual birthday party, which began in 1991 when the plant observed its 100th birthday, is a thank-you celebration to the loyal fans of the Dublin Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. and parent company, Dr Pepper-Snapple Group.
