Dublin Dr Pepper Welcomes “Texas Royalty”

DR PEPPER, Texas --  Dublin Dr Pepper’s Birthday Celebration is again honored to welcome Texas artist George Boutwell, who was recently named by the Texas Commission on the Arts as “State Artist”. Created by SB 1043 of the 77th Legislature, this position is selected every year based on excellence and dedicated commitment to the arts in Texas. This certainly describes George Boutwell. But here in Dr Pepper, Texas, we simply call him “Texas Royalty.”

George Boutwell will share his reign with other Texas artists such as cowboy poet Red Steagall and musician Billy Joe Shaver. Mr Boutwell will have a huge collection of his work for display and sale at the Dublin Dr Pepper birthday on June 11th. It is a wonderful chance to meet the artist and see his work.
This will be Mr. Boutwell’s second showing at the birthday. As far as we are concerned, he always has a home here in Dr Pepper, Texas.
