What's new at Old Doc's? Art man, Art!

One of our self-imposed missions here at Dublin Dr Pepper is support of the Arts. Capital A. That is why we are teaming up with the Texas Commision on the Arts for this years Birthday Celebration. And it is why we are always so happy when we can add another artist to our family of friends.

Old Doc's manager, Andy Anglin, has a great eye for art. So when Robin Campbell's mirrors came to his attention Andy knew he had to have them at Old Doc's. "When I first saw the mirrors I was enthralled with the vibrant colors and designs.  I was amazed that these were not just mirrors but individual pieces of art and each a unique design."

Robin makes his mirror frames from the skin of aluminum soda cans. He selects a 2-or-so inch rectangle from each can and begins placing them in a kind of backwards jigsaw puzzle of color, contrast and composition. Each one is unique.
